Privacy policy

Muster is a Velo North product. It is owned and operated by Velo North Consulting Ltd ("Velo North", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC122895. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us at [email protected].

If you subscribe to our job alerts, we collect your email address and the search preferences you choose to save. You do not need an account to browse or to get the email.

If you do create an account, we store what you put in it: your name, headline, location, skills, what you are looking for, any CV you upload, and the applications you send. Your CV and name are private to you. An employer sees them only when you apply to one of their roles, or when you accept a message from them. You can switch "let employers find me" off at any time, and ask us to delete everything using the form on our data request page.

We use your email address and saved preferences only to send you the job alerts you asked for. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by confirming your subscription. Because these are electronic marketing messages, we rely on your confirmed opt-in in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

After you subscribe we send one email asking you to confirm. We only add you to the alert list once you click that link. If you do not confirm, we delete the pending record.

We keep your data only while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove your email from the active list promptly and do not retain it for marketing.

We do not sell your data. Your details go to an employer only when you choose it: when you apply to a role through your Muster account, or when you accept an employer's message from the talent pool — never before, and never for marketing. We use a third-party email delivery provider solely to send the emails you requested; that provider processes your email address on our instructions.

The job listings and employer information we display are drawn from publicly available sources, such as employers' own careers pages and public registers. Each intelligence field shows its source and the date it was observed. This information is provided for general guidance; see our Terms of use regarding accuracy.

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to ask us to delete it. Every alert email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent or exercise any right by contacting [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site uses only what is necessary to function. With your permission, Muster keeps an anonymous count of what's viewed, searched and applied to — tied to a random identifier stored on your device, never your name, email or IP address. Consent is managed by Cookiebot: our counting sits in the "statistics" category, and withdrawing that consent stops counting and deletes anything already held for that identifier. You can change your answer any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Counts are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. We do not use advertising cookies and we never sell or share this data.
