About

I built this because I needed it,
and it didn't exist.

The story

In early 2026 I was made redundant. Five years recruiting, most of that in-house Talent, and over nine years working overall. Suddenly I was the one doing the searching.

It was worse than I expected. In-house People and Talent roles don't sit anywhere in particular. They're scattered across a hundred company career sites, buried under agency reposts of the same three jobs, and mixed in with rec2rec roles that have nothing to do with the work I do. Half the ads wouldn't say what they paid. The other half told me almost nothing about what the job actually was.

I knew what I wanted to know before applying, because I'd spent a career on the other side of the table: what does this role really involve, who does it report to, does this employer publish a pay gap, and did they publish the salary or make me ask?

So I gathered it. Muster pulls in-house People and Talent roles into one place and puts those facts next to them, each with a source and a date. Then we did the same for early careers — grad schemes, apprenticeships, placements and first jobs — because people starting out get told even less than I was. Two streams, one board, same rules. We only list a role if it states the working pattern — Remote, Hybrid or On-site — and the pay. No "competitive salary", no blanks.

Since then it's grown teeth. Every listing comes from a real employer's own advert, re-read around the clock. You can sign in to save roles, follow employers and track your applications — and companies can now claim their own page and keep their facts straight. The rules haven't moved.

Muster is built and run by Velo North Consulting Ltd, a UK consultancy that works with growing companies on People, Talent and organisational design.

Why “Muster”?

The name means three things at once.

01

To gather the scattered.

A muster is how you call people or things together from wherever they are. That's the job board: roles pulled in from across the web into one place.

02

A place to assemble.

A muster point is where everyone knows to meet. Muster is the fixed address for People and Talent professionals and for anyone starting out, looking for their next role.

03

To pass inspection.

Something that passes muster has been looked at properly. Every role here is inspected: salary, source, date, and the facts the ad leaves out.

The principles

01

Straight from the employer. No agency listings, no rec2rec, no four consultancies reposting the same job. If the employer isn't hiring for their own team, it doesn't belong here.

02

Pay and working pattern, stated. Every role shows Remote, Hybrid or On-site and a pay band. We won't list a role that hides either, and we won't write “competitive” on an employer's behalf.

03

Observations, not verdicts. We show what public records say and when we looked. We don't score employers, rank them, or tell you what to make of a 24% pay gap. That's your call.

04

Your data stays yours. Accounts are optional. If you sign in, your saved roles, follows and CV are private to you. Your name, email and CV only go to an employer when you apply to one of their roles or accept their message. You can also opt in to the talent pool, which lets employers see your headline, location, skills and experience without revealing who you are until you accept an approach. We don't sell personal data, full stop.

One email a week. That's the whole ask.

New roles from your stream — People & Talent, early careers, or both — with salaries shown. You'll get a confirmation link first, because that's how consent is supposed to work.
